At Esthetic Dental Arts, we know that shade selection can sometimes be a chore. There are a multitude of factors that can effect proper shade perception like eye fatigue, age, time of day, and ambient lighting. As dental technicians, we not only have to perceive the correct color, but we have to translate it into a strong restoration that will match a patient's smile perfectly.
To avoid any confusion when it comes to our esthetic restorations, EDA uses the SpectroShade Micro shade taking unit manufactured by MHT and distributed by Clon 3D. This powerful spectrophotometer allows our clients and technicians to take an image of a patient's tooth and instantly have access to a wealth of shade information broken down in terms of value, chroma, and hue. In turn, our technicians are trained to take this information and translate it into a perfectly shade matched restoration. After the restoration is completed, we then take another image of the restoration and compare it to the original image of the patient's tooth in the SpectroShade Micro software. Because of this stringent Quality Assurance Protocol, our clients know they will receive strong restorations with excellent esthetics.
We stand behind this technology and are proud to offer our clients access to the SpectroShade Micro. If you would like more information as to how you can take advantage of this technology, please contact us.
